Lead, manage, and implement marketing communications initiatives aligned with company goals and achieve results effectively and efficiently. This role is responsible for driving and executing forward-thinking marketing communications programs that support brand strategy, build and maintain preference, and educate stakeholders. Working with internal and external teams and resources, this role succeeds through knowledge and influence.





Develop and lead digital and print advertising and marketing communications programs to deliver awareness, preference, and loyalty to The Doctors Company. 

  • Achieve goals using most effective strategies and tactics.
  • Keep process improvement at the forefront.
  • Collaborate effectively with managers throughout organization.
  • Develop communication strategies with integrated media: print, digital, social.




Focus on creating campaigns for multiple audiences. Build and lead ad hoc teams of internal and external resources and subject matter experts.

  • Interact regularly with marketing creative and production, underwriting, technology, business development, claims, and patient safety leadership to drive results.
  • Influence outside vendors to achieve goals within budgetary and timing constraints.




  • 10-15 years of experience in corporate marketing and advertising, including print and digital.
  • Brand development and management experience.
  • Social media strategy and execution.
  • Editorial and design skills, including relevant Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
  • Experience working in creative marketing environment.
  • Experience with a range of communications disciplines.
  • Excellent presentation and written skills.
  • Exceptional drive, supported by organizational, project management, and teambuilding skills to deliver results on time and on budget according to well-defined project scope.
  • Creative, proactive, resilient, and enthusiastic―willing to take smart risks and lead initiatives with confidence.




Technical skill and delivery

  • Demonstrate mastery of a range of communications disciplines.
  • Translate business, brand, and marketing goals into effective initiatives.
  • Understand latest project management and attribution measurement disciplines.


Project management and delivery 

  • Oversee management of aggressive, multi-faceted projects.
  • Provide consistent reporting on progress and effectiveness.
  • Initiate communications strategies and tactics in response to changing business climate and priorities.



  • Interpret business and marketing strategies into initiatives within existing brand framework.
  • Analyze results from communications initiatives and recommends process and tactical improvements.
  • Work directly with business teams to meet their needs with effective communications initiatives.



  • Take a flexible, consultative approach to working with other teams and departments.
  • Build and maintains effective internal and external relationships.
  • Enforce the highest standards of quality and performance.


Marketing technology systems management

  • Perform proficiently with technology tools including MS Office Suite.
  • Quickly learn core technologies of The Doctors Company including project management and CRM tools.
  • Maintain technology knowledge of marketing and communications systems and vendors.


Other duties as assigned

  • Accepts delegated tasks readily and completes assigned duties as directed
