POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision, coordinates, manages, and releases application development code related to the development and deployment of TDC technologies within Dev, QA, QA2, UAT, and Production environments.  Tracks project deliverables and reports project status to management.  Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Works with Application Development to continually improve current release processes and technologies utilized.  Also will develop automated scripts to help overall testing of products released.  Contacts may include internal IT staff and users, as well as external software and hardware vendors.  Position may involve occasional after-hours production support or weekend maintenance.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Configuration Management

  • Manage software build process
  • Coordinate with various groups within IT
  • Participate in the development, debugging, administration and maintenance of build- and source code/CR  reporting-related tools in addition to nightly and other automated build tools and processes
  • Develops automated testing scripts to ensure adequate system testing.
  • Build and Install applications and all of their components (database, file systems, code, etc.), including but not limited to code merge, promotion, deployment and verification
  • Perform impact analysis during build planning as it pertains to software packaging, operational changes, downtime, policies and procedures
  • Responsible for Level 1 troubleshooting of issues related to deployment or configuration management

 

Source Code Management

  • Administrating and maintain SCM system repository

 

SCM Release Quality Control

  • Evaluates the product release following implementation and drives continuous improvement into the company's IT processes.

 

Perform other duties as assigned.

 

EDUCATION (AND/OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE) REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required.          

 

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  1. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  2. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  3. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and set variables.
  4. Project/Product Management experience.
  5. Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
  6. Creating batch/ install scripts/programs in Windows environment.
  7. Self-motivated, creative, dynamic individual with a positive attitude and able to work in an independent manner.
  8. Must show a commitment to excellence and possess strong analytical, problem solving and multi-tasking skills, as well as written and verbal communications skills.
  9. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  10. Attention to detail.
  11. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  12. Ability to work with diverse personalities.
  13. Ability to travel as necessary.

 

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Three (3) years of software configuration Management / build experience.

Three (3) years of experience with deployment of solutions based on Microsoft .NET technologies, Oracle database is a plus.

Three (3) years of experience with Change Management and Release process /equivalent work experience.
