Mission

 

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Account Manager in our Southwest Region team based in the Sherman Oaks office to help scale our growing business while providing exceptional customer service.

 

You will be a critical resource on our Business Development team and will be responsible for growing the business by providing a positive experience for our emerging and growing members. You may work across multiple Account Managers and provide assistance with revenue growth and positive customer satisfaction. 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Advanced commercial & professional liability insurance education is required.
  • Fire & Casualty license required, Life license a plus.
  • 3-5 years in agency operations, insurance prospecting sales, and client service.
  • Experience in supervising support staff required.
  • The ability to think independently and overall self-management with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent telephone, oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven skill to sell product effectively, being prepared for any sales situation that presents itself.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work with diverse personalities and individuals at all levels.
  • Ability to use a personal computer to create letters, memos, reports and moderately complex spreadsheets.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and set variables.
  • Ability to travel when necessary.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Account Servicing

  • Responds to incoming member needs by gathering appropriate information, setting expectations and managing the process to completion.
  • Works with appropriate stakeholders (internal and external) to complete member service requirements.
  •  Keeps member informed about the progress of request as appropriate.
  • Informs appropriate stakeholders about change so that all aspects of account that are impacted can respond accordingly.
  •  Informs member as to outcome of request as appropriate.
  •  Manages incoming mail and faxes.
  • Education & Development
  • Strives to improve healthcare industry knowledge and product knowledge.
  • Works to improve knowledge of and presentation skills for TDCIS services.
  • Works to improve sales and customer relationship skills.
  • New Business Production
  • Markets risk internally and to third parties for Hunter.

 

Policy Renewal

  • Reviews upcoming renewals to determine how to proceed and if exceptions to the standardized renewal process need to be made for individual policies.
  •  Works with appropriate stakeholders to process renewals according to company guidelines.
  •  Assures that no assigned policies have lapsed by confirming status as renewed, cancelled or nonrenewed.
  • Assures that appropriate contact has been made with accounts and other stakeholders about their renewals.

 

Staff Supervision

  • Supervises entry level support staff, including hiring, training, and ongoing development.
  • Reviews key performance metrics/audit results to ensure compliance with all critical department functions
  • Seeks input from regional teams on training needs and works to coordinate resources to accomplish training goals.

 

 

Other duties as assigned

  • Other duties as needed in pursuit of TDC’s Mission and strategy.
  • Participates in product initiatives and sales programs.
